Patti Matthis is a resident of New Hampshire, having migrated north from her home town of Saugus, MA. She credits her grandfather, Charles Burwell, for her interest in photography. "Gramp used to line us four granddaughters up in front of the farm house with the barn kittens spilling out of our arms and the sun piercing our eyes. He would have camera in hand with his gold wire rimmed eyeglasses dangling from one ear while he focused, focused and focused! The family still enjoys the photos and slides Gramp painstakingly took over a 50 year period. It just seems a natural extension to chronicle my life through photography, too."

These photographs are an assortment taken over the last 15 years in New England, New Mexico, Florida, California and the Caribbean. "Each picture conjures up memories of the day it was taken and the serendipitous adventures of that particular trip. Nature is my passion and photography gives me a good excuse to spend time outside and to be intimately in touch with my surroundings. I hike, bike, kayak and garden. My camera is never far away. I really hope you enjoy looking at my photos and sharing them with your friends and family!"

Pat is a member of the Nashua Camera Club and Nashua Area Artists' Association. She has shown her work at the Nashua Public Library, Hollis Public Library, East Pearl Street Art Gallery, 911 Aftermath Exhibit, Chimera Art Gallery, Beaver Brook and the Parish Center for the Arts.
